Edge Autonomy Model

Protoplatz is designed for continuous, autonomous operation at the industrial edge. The gateway's execution and governance model is entirely independent of cloud connectivity. Local operations, protocol termination, and intelligence evaluation continue without interruption during offline periods.

Lifecycle States

The system moves through a series of deterministic states, each managed by the local governance engine to ensure hardware safety and data integrity.

Offline Survivability

In the event of upstream connectivity failure, Protoplatz enters an "Autonomous Persistence" state. All normalized data and governance logs are stored locally using a store-and-forward mechanism, ensuring no data loss occurs during infrastructure outages.

Key Operational Characteristics

  • Local Operation: Full protocol and intelligence execution without cloud dependency.
  • Offline Retention: Local storage of critical system and telemetry data.
  • Automatic Resynchronization: Intelligent data forwarding upon connectivity restoration.
  • Immutable Rollback: Secured hardware-level firmware rollback to last-known-stable state.

The gateway's lifecycle management ensures infrastructure permanence, providing a reliable execution environment for long-term industrial deployments.
