System Architecture
System Definition
Protoplatz is an integrated hardware and software system that defines the execution boundary for industrial IoT operations. The architecture is governance-first, ensuring that all system states, transitions, and intelligence executions are subject to deterministic policy enforcement.
System Boundary
The Protoplatz system boundary is a physical and logical perimeter that includes:
- Dedicated Gateway Hardware (TI AM69A (J784S4))
- Isolated Real-Time Execution Domains
- Deterministic Protocol Normalization Layer
- Hardware-Enforced Governance Engine
- ProtoAccess Intelligence Layer (Nested)
All device communication and intelligence evaluation occurs strictly within this boundary to ensure zero-latency governance and protocol isolation.

Detailed hardware parameters, core allocations, and interface specifications.
Governance Hierarchy
Operational authority is held by the Governance Engine. This engine owns the lifecycle state and can override any process within the boundary, including ProtoAccess inference results, to ensure the system remains in a safe and deterministic state.
